Here are some good facts on unemployment during both the Clinton and Bush administration:
February 1997 Under Bill Cinton:
11.3 = Unemployment rate among African-Americans.
8.1 = Unemployment rate among Latinos.
4.5 = Unemployment rate among Whites.
February 2005, Under George W. Bush:
10.9 = African-Americans.
6.4 = Latinos.
4.6 = Whites.

How can those numbers be accurate when unemployment in general is higher than under Clinton?
And, most of the jobs that have been created under Bush pay far less than the ones that were lost in the last recession. My opinion is that multi-national corporations are making the American working class into another repressed, third world class of serf-like subsistence workers.

Actually, if you follow the links, they also show that employment population ratio is about the same under both administrations (63.5 for Clinton, 62.3 for Bush). So yes, this was taken into account.
The economy has responded well to the president’s series of tax cuts by erasing all the job losses of the recession and pushing unemployment to the floor. A few weeks ago the Bureau of Economic Analysis came out with a revised estimate showing that real gross domestic product grew at 3.8% in the fourth quarter of 2004. That’s up from the 3.1% estimated the previous month and puts GDP growth at 4.4% for the year — the highest in five years and among the strongest growth rates since the Reagan boom in the 1980s. And if you know economic growth, you know it is the most important.
But here is what makes this more surprising, our current economy is post 9/11, post Iraq/Afghanistan war and post stock market bubble burst. As Greenspan said, those tax cuts were worth it!!!

I’m just not buying it. When the economy boomed under Clinton, who raised taxes, conservatives said he was riding Reagan’s coattails, that the effect of Reagan’s tax cuts was delayed. But now, when Bush cuts taxes, and the economy rebounds, conservatives say it’s because of the Bush tax cuts. What happened to the delay? You say whatever serves your purpose, but your statistics prove nothing. Don’t confuse correlation with causation. Want to cut taxes? Great. Cut spending, then, too. Your beloved Mr. Greenspan warns of the dangers of running such huge deficits. What, you only quote Mr. Greenspan when he agrees with you?
I am hoping Tavares’ trip to India enlightens him. I suspect it will liberalize him somewhat, but my saying that will probably increase his resistance. I just hope that he learns that a person’s plight is not simply a product of one’s ambition. In the real world, equal opportunity is a myth.

When exactly did the economy ‘Boom’ under clinton ? Maybe Monica did but the economy sure did not.When the Republicans tried to cut the rate of growth i.e., the rate at which it would normally be indexed for increase they were accused of taking food out of the mouths of shool children. Which it did not.
The spending is out of control but it is not their money now is it.

Liberals would rather expand government and pay people not to work and not to look for a job it keeps them, the liberals, actively employed. The Liberals have never solved any problems they just keep raising taxes promising to fix the problems but they never go away so they expand the government again and the cycle repeats.
Sad point is they neve learn but sadder yet, for the dems, is the people they have been fooling all these years are beginning to ask , how come they neve fix anything. After 60 years we still have the same problems and they keep saying the same old things just to get out vote.
It aint working.
So get used to it, W will be here for four more years, to try to straighten out the mess that clinton left.

You forgot some “minor” details here, first, President Clinton, you might recall, raised taxes in his first term, but lowered them in his second term, contributing to a burst of investment and growth. Note the difference. In his first four years, the economy increased at a 3.2 percent annual rate. But his next four years produced a 4.2 percent economic pace.
In addition, aside from raising taxes in his first term, what else did Clinton do that was in anyway specifically liberal? If anything, since Republicans controlled the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the federal reserve (Greenspan is Republican) one could make the argument that the boom was a Republican boom, especially since Clinton practically implemented all of Newt’s ten point plan. In other words, it was Republican policies that caused the boom, not Democrat ones.
Were being consistent, it’s the left that is not being consistent.

Nothing to argue here. I’ve always said that politics need two sides to the coin. Liberals are needed for finding the problems, conservatives are needed for fixing the problems. I can’t think of one social problem that I disagree with a liberal on, but when that liberal lays out the plan to solve that social problem, that’s when my disagreements begin.

If you want to speak of delays, then you must agree the downfall of the economy in ‘99 when Bush took office was from the Clinton administration, right? And this was pre 9/11. Therefore, if Clinton was responsible for the economy crash in ’99, then Bush is responsible for the economy boost in present day (minus some delta). This delay is not in terms but in time. And there is a good possibility that this boost was from his tax cuts.

You can definitely do this in GarageBand. Simply drag the songs you want from iTunes to GarageBand and it automatically converts them. Then use the Export to iTunes feature. Works like a charm!
