USC Gets $25 million for Stem Cell Research

LOS ANGELES - The University of Southern California has received a $25 million donation to build a stem cell research center, school officials said.
Philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad donated the money to build the Broad Institute for Integrative Biology and Stem Cell Research, officials said Thursday. Groundbreaking is scheduled for the fall.
The 215,000-square-foot facility is expected to be the largest stem cell research center in California when it opens in 2008, the university said.
I know there is a lot of controversy over stem cell research, but I am actually for it, regardless of all the abortion and moral issues. I honestly think there are ways around those issues. Hopefully in years to come, we will have a major break through with Stem Cell Research and maybe we can finally have a cure for Cancer, Parkinson disease, and the likes.

The great irony of the use of stemcell research for saving lives is the fact that SOMETIMES, WHAT APPEARS TO BE ‘GOOD’ CAN BE EVIL. One sees that today in a form of slow racial and cultural genocide occurring among Black Americans who are being fooled into the old racist trickery of intermarriage, integration and gentrification/scattering.
The idea that Black America has to blend its blackness out of existence to be acceptable by other people is a farce and a fallacy. If people were accepted because they had little amounts of Black/Negro blood or genes, the Jews , Gypsies, half German-half Africans, and others would not be the victims of the Holocaust that took place in Germany when all ‘non-Aryans’ were eliminated.
Black America should REJECT ALL SCHEMES OF ‘blending’ that is being pushed on Black America. The use of sitcoms, movies, hip-hop videos, tv and other means to push genocidal practices on Blacks (including thuggism, pimpism, s’horing’ fleeing prime city lands to live next to other folks in the suburbs, SHOULD BE REJECTED.

There are other ways to get stem cells besides abortion. For example, vitro fertilization!
As far as genocide through abortion, that’s BS. Each individual is responsible for what he or she does. If abortion was not FORCED upon us, then how can you blame someone else for our own destruction?

I don’t consider a clump of 16 cells with the “potential” to become a human being a human being. No more than the millions of skin cells we slough off every day, which also have the “potential” to become a human being. But there’s no need to lock horns on the issue. There ARE ways to do it without killing embryos. Just take one cell from an embryo. Yes, it’s a technicality. But it’s on a technicality that people object. So, if this method would satisfy the rules they want, why not get along and do it that way?

“Black America should REJECT ALL SCHEMES OF ‘blending’ ” - in case you haven’t been reading, DNA science has determined (not theorize) that we all (Black, Whites, Asians) originated out of common ancestry (perhaps even the same set(s) of parents). Whenever you subscribed to the notion that we are somehow different by design/origin/evolution, etc. you are prescribing to a set of beliefs (mainly Darwinism) rooted, in part, in promoting racism - that is we “evolved” from different primates which is the basis for some ethnicities to be superior and other inferior. My advice should you decided to accept it - stop your stupidity, read (other than hateful Black literature), and understand who we really are as human beings. Don’t waste another day of your life thinking like an uninformed, heavily-biased “victim” - take it or leave it.

this is yet another instance of mis-information. Science has proven that we do not come from common ancesters by a number of ways easily proven.
1. Blood typing. Rh- being the most studied now because of the inability to be cloned.
2. Chromosome count-46,47, and 48. 47 comes about from a mixing of the other two and produces down syndrome.
49. Not only are the races from different root parantage, but the different tribes within all races are of different origin.
This whole subject is further masked by the whole ‘we are the world’ attitude that is being pushed by the media without informing the people about key elements dealing with blood typing, the ever overlooked, but so important melanin, and let’s not forget the whole topic of this discourse stem cell science and how it relates to races.
